• Mature themes when properly labeled with content warnings.
• AI-assisted content when properly disclosed.

2. Prohibited Content

Illegal Content

• Content that violates any local, state, national, or international law.
• Content that promotes illegal activities.
• Content that infringes on intellectual property rights.

Harmful Content

• Hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
• Harassment, bullying, or targeted attacks against individuals.
• Content that promotes or glorifies violence, self-harm, or suicide.
• Terrorist content or violent extremism.
• Threats of violence or harm.

Sexual Content Involving Minors

• Any sexual or suggestive content involving characters under 18.
• Content that sexualizes minors in any way.
• This applies to all characters, regardless of species or fictional context.

Explicit Sexual Content

Storyfall is a storytelling platform and not an adult entertainment service. Storyfall reserves the right to determine whether content crosses the line into explicit sexual content under these guidelines.

• Graphic or explicit depictions of sexual acts in text.
• Explicit anatomical sexual descriptions or step-by-step depictions of sexual acts.
• Content primarily intended for sexual arousal.
• Note: Suggestive or romantic content that is not explicit is allowed with proper content warnings.

Explicit or Graphic Imagery

The following visual content is not permitted anywhere on Storyfall, including cover images, thumbnails, and images within stories:

• Pornographic or sexually explicit imagery.
• Explicit nudity intended for sexual arousal.
• Graphic depictions of sexual acts in visual form.
• Graphic gore or extreme violence imagery.
• Images designed to shock or disturb through explicit bodily harm.
• Cover images and thumbnails must be non-explicit and safe for general audiences.
• Note: Non-explicit illustrations, suggestive but non-pornographic imagery, and non-graphic depictions of conflict are allowed when properly labeled.

Deceptive Practices

• Impersonation of other individuals or organizations.
• Misinformation or deliberately false content presented as fact.
• Spam or repetitive content.
• Malicious links or phishing attempts.

3. Content Ratings and Warnings

Authors must appropriately label their content to help readers make informed choices:

Required Content Warnings

• Violence: Graphic violence, gore, or intense combat. Written depictions of gore may be allowed with proper warnings. Note: Graphic gore imagery is prohibited.
• Suggestive Content: Romantic or sensual themes that are not explicit.
• Language: Strong profanity or offensive language.
• Substance Use: Drug or alcohol use.

Fan Fiction Policy

Fan fiction based on existing properties is allowed for free stories only. You cannot monetize fan fiction or derivative works based on copyrighted material without permission from the rights holder.

Imported Content

Stories imported from other interactive fiction formats (Ink, Twine) are subject to the same content guidelines and copyright requirements as content created directly on Storyfall. Additionally:

• Ownership certification is required for all imported content.
• Importing content does not grant you rights you did not already have.
• You cannot use import to circumvent platform restrictions or content guidelines.
• Imported content will be reviewed under the same moderation standards as native content.

5. Commercial Content

Monetization Rules

• Only original content or properly licensed content can be monetized.

• Content must be substantially complete (no charging for incomplete stories).

• No unauthorized advertising or spam.

Consequences
