The past couple of weeks have been busy, I added a major new feature: Storyfall now supports audio!

You can upload music or any sounds you like to an audio library that is then available across all your stories. From there you just assign it to a scene and now when a reader goes to that scene, they'll hear the audio start to play automatically. If the next scene in your story has the same track, it'll continue playing seamlessly; if there's a different track, it'll fade in and out as the reader goes to the new scene. I also gave readers the ability to change volume or disable sound entirely if they want.
A writer requested the ability to preview the next scene's text when looking at choices in the editor, which I thought was a great idea - so I added that too.
NPCs and Factions's discovery status (whether they've been discovered by the player yet or not) can now be set as conditions for choices, and used for conditional text in scenes and choices.
Some folks over on the intfiction.org forum were interested in the ability to both re-use themes across stories, and to change themes on a per-scene basis. This is now possible! I refactored the theme data model and UI so that writers now have the ability to create reusable themes. Style once - re-use wherever you like! Each story or even each scene could have its own soundtrack, theme, images, etc. to make it as personalized and immersive as you want.
But probably the biggest change is to the editor. As I've been adding more and more functionality, the cluster of buttons in the top-right has been getting out of hand. I'm running out of space there, and it just feels messy. Plus there's inconsistency in how the various interfaces open. Some are modals, others slide out from the right, some are slide-overs that come from the left. Not exactly intuitive.
Introducing: the sidebar!

All the sidebar panels have smooth, consistent animations; and they all open up in exactly the same way - no more inconsistent UX across modals/sliders/overlays.

I added a new "pin" option for the story tree, so you can expand that to a larger space below the editor while still accessing other panels from the sidebar.
The sidebar now also includes the ability to play drafts and publish stories, which you would have previously had to go back up to the workshop page to do. I also added a global story search! Text you type into the sidebar search will look up scenes and choice text, as well as variables, NPCs, factions, audio assets, and even reader feedback (for published stories).

To help new and existing writers navigate the new interface, I've also added a tutorial that walks you through a few key features of the editor.
And finally, because I personally needed this - image captions are now available across the story editor, forum message editor, and when writing blog posts.
